GRACE AND FAITH IN GIVING

Faith can only appropriate what grace has already provided. You must purify your motives in giving. God has already blessed you if you are a son of  God. Take your proper place and give with understanding and God will honor His Word in your life.

Ephesians 2:8

For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved ( delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;

We are saved by the grace of God. When you release your faith to connect with that grace, you receive salvation. So, the bible tells us to walk in the same manner in which we have been saved (Colossians 2:6). Salvation includes prosperity for the believer. Before you were born, God already made provision for everything you will ever need in your life – 2 Corinthians 8:9. You are blessed! Your giving is a step of faith to tap into what grace has already provided for you.

1 Corinthians 15:10

But by the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me.

Like Apostle Paul, you are what you are by the grace of God. So, how do you think that you can become anything else outside of that grace? He said that he worked harder than all the other apostles yet it was not him that worked but the grace of God which was with him.

You are what you are by what Jesus has already done for you on the cross. What is needed is for you to release your faith into that finished work to see it manifest in your life. You will not miss your portion in Jesus name. Grace was extended to Apostle Paul but he released his faith by his labor.

God’s grace that brings salvation has appeared to all men – Titus 2:11. So, why is it that all men are not automatically saved? This is because everyone has to release his faith to believe and receive for himself. This grace is accessed by faith – Romans 5:2. You are already blessed in Christ Jesus! The blood of the cross has provided all things for this life you have. Your giving does not make God to bless you rather it only helps you to access the blessing already provided for you.

True faith is not in what you do to get a response from God. True faith is your most positive response to what you believe that God has already provided by His grace. Releasing your faith into a matter that grace has not provided is an effort in futility. This is because you cannot have anything from God outside of the cross of Jesus. It was finished at Golgotha on the cross. So, faith only moves you to the provision that God has already made for you as a son of God.

You must not give out of an obligation. You must not give because you believe that you are paying a debt to God. Debt mentality comes with a slavery mentality. It causes you to begin to renegotiate your destiny. You are no longer a slave but a son.
